    Bring us in while the drawings can still change.

    Competition Glass supports early-stage design with budgeting, design assist, thermal review, constructability input and value-engineering options. We coordinate the glazing scope against structure, adjacent building systems and mechanical requirements, helping identify issues before they become site problems. Our team develops the shop drawings that drive procurement and fabrication, helping maintain continuity from design through production and installation. If the project changes, the same team carries that knowledge forward.

Design coordination, drafting, procurement, fabrication and installation are managed through one team, giving clients a clear line of accountability throughout the glazing scope.     Our Service & Maintenance teams support existing buildings with sealed-unit replacement, glass repairs, sealants and gaskets, commercial doors and hardware, automatic operators, leak investigation and building-envelope related repairs. We also provide specialty architectural glass including showers, mirrors, railings, wine rooms and custom glass applications, as well as glass and component supply to other glazing contractors. In the Okanagan, this capability also extends to select high-end residential work, including shower packages, interior and exterior railings, wine rooms, mirrors and residential glass replacement.

    Storefront and entrances suit low-rise commercial openings rather than a continuous curtain-wall elevation; automatic operators and hardware integration enter when the opening must handle daily traffic. Because Competition Glass fabricates and installs the package, frame, glass and door hardware can be coordinated as one scope.

    What this covers

    When repeatable openings, window wall or replacement work make more sense than a continuous curtain-wall system, this is the practical route. Competition Glass connects the measured opening, aluminum fabrication and glass installation, which matters most when existing conditions are doing the dictating.

    What this covers

    Architectural glass is the choice when an interior needs transparency, separation or a finished detail instead of an opaque partition. Railings, specialty applications, custom showers and mirrors, and partitions can all be drawn, fabricated and installed by the same team, keeping the final pieces tied to the architect’s intent.

    What this covers

    Building envelope interfaces are the connective work around backpans, flashings, sealants and air/vapour barrier interfaces. A GC keeps that work with the glazing scope instead of leaving it to a late handoff; in-house fabrication gives Competition Glass a defined path from approved details to the pieces and interfaces the team must close.

    Skylights

    What this covers

    Overhead daylight without giving up the envelope. Aluminum-framed and insulated skylights and ceiling panels are drawn, fabricated and installed by the same team that glazes the walls below them, so the roof interface is part of the glazing scope rather than a late hand-off.

How we deliver

FROM AWARD TO CLOSEOUT

The same eight steps on a single storefront and on a tower’s envelope. What changes is how long each one takes.

  1. 01

    Handover

    Before the first drawing moves, the team needs a shared record of what was priced, what was assumed and where the risks sit. Skip that conversation and a scope gap becomes a change, delay or argument on site.

  2. 02

    Design & Submittals

    Shop drawings, engineering, samples and approvals turn a tendered idea into something the shop and site can build. If approvals trail the work, procurement and installation start on guesses.

  3. 03

    Procurement

    Long-lead materials need release dates that match the schedule and approved details. Leave procurement late and a finished opening can wait on one missing component.

  4. 04

    Fabrication

    Quality-controlled preparation lets the shop catch fit, finish and sequencing issues before material is on a truck. Without that pause, the field crew inherits a problem with less room to solve it.

  5. 05

    Site Readiness

    Openings, access, interfaces and predecessor work have to be ready before glass and frames arrive. Skip the check and the installation crew is standing in a building that cannot receive the package.

  6. 06

    Installation

    The superintendent and project manager keep the field sequence aligned with the drawings, other trades and site conditions. Without that coordination, a small access or interface issue can stop more than one crew.

  7. 07

    Quality & Documentation

    Inspections, deficiencies, RFIs, changes and records close the loop between what was built and what was approved. If the record is thin, closeout slows and the next person has to rediscover the decision.

  8. 08

    Closeout & Warranty

    Turnover is where the owner gets the documents, open items and warranty path needed to operate the building. Leave it vague and a service question has no clear starting point.
